A sealed envelope containing a prediction written on a slip of paper is introduced. A spectator is allowed to freely select a card from a well shuffled deck of cards. The selected card is placed within a beautiful card box with clear sliding lid and kept under a handkerchief. The envelope is opened and the prediction is shown to everybody. Pretend that the prediction is “Five of hearts”. The handkerchief is removed. The selected face down card is seen through the clear lid. The lid is removed and the card is shown to the audience. It is “Five of Hearts”.
