The magician shows three stained scarves and places them in a box of detergent, or simply in a paper bag made from a sheet of newspaper. He pours some liquid into the box and a moment later he takes out the three completely white scarves, perfectly clean. Finally he tears the box into several pieces to demonstrate that there is nothing hidden inside!

• The detergent box is not provided (even a simple cardboard box is enough) and the tool for pouring the liquid is not provided (a classic milk glass or a magic jug are perfect additions to this routine, but not strictly necessary for execution of the effect).
