What can you say about the "Cups and Balls"? It's an iconic trick and has become almost synonymous with the art of magicians like the proverbial rabbit out of the cylinder. It is definitely one of the oldest magic tricks. But why has this trick endured the centuries? For one thing, a Cups and Balls routine can have many different effects, there can be disappearances, appearances, transpositions and productions. In addition, it has always been considered in the wizarding world as a kind of yardstick to measure the ability of an artist.

Bill Malone follows with its beautiful touch on the classic poem by Jack Bateman on conjuring while Al Schneider performs and explains in detail its routine in five phases. Gary Ouellet is the next with a beautiful choreographed routine with two Cups and Balls, and finally David Regal offers a deeply personal touch to his version of this classic trick.
