This deck is printed with the back in black and white is a modernized version of a very detailed back, originally hand-drawn in 1919, called Bicycle Boat 55. In this version, the colors were reversed and the board removed. The ace of spades was also designed with the same intricate style of the back.
The deck Boat shows the original artwork on the back of each card and Cover.
